Bella Hadid rivals Stephanie Seymour in beauty, IMO.
Gigi doesn't compare to her sister.

Im kinda confused tho.
As much as I love these instafamous girls getting dragged and belittled, honestly if designers and agencies are looking at them to model their ****, wouldn't that mean they WOULD be the supermodels of today?!
I mean, both are in tabloids, both are famous outside of their "fashion careers." Isn't this just a shift in pop culture? Was Cara D. considered a supermodel before becoming an actress? I don't really see a bottom-to-top supermodel being created anytime soon when businesses have these popular online personas to advertise their ****.

First of all, Supermodels is a dated term. It originally refers to a top model, who exceeds modelling and makes a household name for herself. Gisele is often considered the last TRUE Supermodel. These brats these days, get famous off social media and who they are related to/dating and that gets them the work. But even then, it's less work than what a Supermodel should be getting Gigi and Kendall walk WAYYYY less runways than top models during a season. But they get all this attention.
They're a fad. The industry is obsessed with using social media as a platform, that's why designers use them. But they're not muses, like real top models. They don't even sell more magazines than your average model. Just a bunch of average girls and boys, who have Instagram followers and industry connections. Rich becoming richer.

Ah I see, I guess I overestimated their fame and reach. Don't know much about the modeling world so I just assumed they were top dogs now or something.

To be a supermodel, I see you as someone who rose to fame from being a model. For them it is more like their already celebrity status led to modeling gigs. Not the other way around. They get opportunities based on the publicity that comes with having them wear a certain designer. So they continually get work for that reason.

Times change. People like Gigi and Kendall are basically the future of supermodels. I take a lot of inspiration from them, and considering I could very well be famous before I even start my modeling career, and I won't even be famous until 2-3 years from now, I could see myself starting the supermodel generation that follows them.

Yes, and they are. If only more people understood that It's more people getting mad that a new technology is revolutionizing the industry. It's just the way things are now, and I plan on using social media to my full advantage when I start modeling. I just hope I don't get so much hate, I don't think I will considering I didn't grow up famous (which isn't a reason to hate someone btw, it just shows that they're jealous).

She didn't lie but that's the nature of the moment. Models no longer have that unreachable aura about them. You can log onto instagram and see what your fashion icon is wearing, eating, breathing (and promoting) right now instead of waiting for your latest issue of Vogue. She should accept that the fashion industry is a fast changing one and move with the times.

Why wouldn't they?
The lucrative demographic is the one that rules social media. Any new designer is going to want the trendiest celebrities modelling their clothes as that is what sells.
