It's not about how much money they have in their bank accounts. Net worth is about assets they own or have a stake in (houses, companies, etc) minus any liabilities or loss of assets.

Those things are always harder to measure because we don't know how many investments, etc these pop stars have and how much of their money might be tied up in horrible investments.
