1989 pretty much sold more first day than Lemonade first week. No amount of promo or radio could make a difference in that.

Beyonce gave 4 a load of big performances and music videos and what did it sell? Like 2.5-3m?

1989 did almost four times that as it's approaching 10m WW.

1989s lyrics of songs arguably had impact as lines like just shake it off, darling I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream, we never go out of style & etc were quoted by a LOT of people online.

Here in Poland? No... Well, for few days after release there were threads about bey & jay referencing lemonade on some gossip websites, that's it. I didn't hear any Lemonade song on radio yet.

Taylor's proud of her body of work, which also earned her an AOTY, so much that she wants to do live performances, she wants to bring out nice music videos for her fans, she wants to do a long tour. Where's the issue?

Taylor made her eras have a lot of longevity and thus being enjoyable for her fans for a long time, I'm sorry that your fave ditches them from the get-go and doesn't make it a long experience for fans

HBO airing is not official promo now

That's better promo than anything Taylor and Adele did in their last eras. Performing in tv shows is not the only way to promote

1989 HAD impact. I'm not saying it's less or more of that of Lemonade's, I'm saying that Lemonade is #1 right now as we speak because of the impact it had. Not because of hit singles, YT vids, promo, interviews, etc., solely impact.

Yes it had impact, everyone wanted to know what was up with Bey and Jay's marriage. News stations have reported on it, the UKs biggest radio station played the whole album with a running commentary after the songs had finished, these girls are being asked about it during their interviews, the critics LOVED it and as a result has given her a 90+ score on Metacritic, "Becky with the good hair" is a lyric a lot of people have been quoting, the album is back to number 1 on us ITunes, the film has been recreated using Lego, the react channel had people reacting to the album, Grammy voters were already discussing the possibly AOTY nom, Lemonade sales increased, Red lobsters sales increased, memes were created. I mean I can go on and on. Denying it's impact only means one thing, you're pressed
