For me it only gets stronger with each album he releases. I can almost see myself flying to Italy to attend one of his concerts. But I hope this era will eventually bring him to some of the surrounding countries. Although I really don't see Karma doing anything spectacular, probably similar level of "success" as Breathe Gentle.
The past few days my obsession has shifted to this performance. You can really tell it was the absolute darkest period of his life. His face and eyes. The way Laura looks at him. The way his voice cracks when he sings "farei del male solo e ancora a me".
Oh damn that must have been devastating. Was it a big venue? I always thought it was cool that he could tour in North America at all.
L'Ultima Notte Al Mondo up to #17. Looks like it will be another big hit. Hope it keeps the album at #1 as well.
It was a decent size venue. There's a big Italian community here and it was impossible to get tickets! His tour flopped everywhere else though, that's why he cancelled.
Just saw the thread on his forum as well. That's ridiculous that it stayed "postponed" for months and nothing new was ever scheduled. Obviously he was deeply depressed at the time and probably couldn't get himself to care, but his manager should've handled that way better.

I heard him saying on an interview some days ago that he will tour in Europe when the european album will be ready
I don't know if it's an english or a spanish album tho

My friends and I had gone to the airport to wait for him and he never arrived
It was a stupid move and Fabrizio Giannini is an asshole.
I guess your hesitance to get into this album is the lingering bitterness. He was probably sick for real though, I crosschecked with his diary and he mentions cold sores in an entry the week before the Montreal date.
Hope he'll eventually go back to Canada to make it up to the fans there!
I sure hope so! I just don't like the whole "postponed" thing. A friend of mine works at EMI and he said the concert was set to be cancelled as soon as they saw the poor ticket sales in the rest of the North American venues. Why he decided to cancel the one show that actually sold out is beyond me.
Wasn't totally convinced about its potential as a single but looks like there's nothing to worry about. I'm so curious about the video. I hope they came up with a decent concept.
