"Born to Lose," which just debuted on Zane Lowe's radio show, won't disappoint anyone who cottoned on to the duo's penchant for distorto guitar riffs and bruising beats, as Krauss coos over a high volume assault. But the fact that you can actually hear her dreamy vocal lines clearly, and that the song has a brief guitar breakdown and ringing coda suggest that the Brooklyn band might be headed down some new paths on Reign, which comes out in February.
