I don't want to sound like I'm making fun of the games because I am a FF fan. But is it worth playing the ones from the PS3? I've only gone up to X and partially played x-2.

You never played XII? if you don't like MMOs then don't play it since it's basically set up like an offline MMO. XIII has a decent story but the game is very linear in structure you literally go in a straight line. You do not backtrack either.

XIII-2 is much much better in that aspect and is worth checking out.

Haven't played XII but I do love MMO's so I guess I'll give them a try. I've been wanting to but I've heard so many bad things from the retro fans (you know how they can be)

XII, IMO, is probably one of the best Final Fantasies they've ever made; story-wise, design-wise, and gameplay-wise… I think the only gripe is that you have to grind early to advance later on in the story, but if that's not a problem, XII will be the best experience you've ever had playing a Final Fantasy! Especially with all the Hunts and sidequests, including getting all thirteen Espers… I never got so addicted to a Final Fantasy until I played that!

Hold off on XII and make sure to get X and X-2 HD Remaster. There is half a game of new things (places and bosses) that were not in the English version. That game is basically the kickstarter for Final Fantasy XII IZJS HD. Which we all need.

HopeLight is not canon, he was turned back into a child due to being tortured for 169 years. His adult body was destroyed by the antagonist. There is a happy ending but the ending is really strange.

Lightning and the gang team up and turn into this beam of light and finish him off. There is a epilogue after the credits where Lightning is in casual clothes and is smiling due to the new world.. And Lumina is actually Lightning not Serah.

Better be prepared for Lightning to return in XV (since that is based in our world and Toriyama just had an interview this week where he said Lightning would be in multiple FF titles). The amount of trolling Square Enix and Toriyama has done in the past years.

They're trying so hard to make her the next Cid and it wont work. Just let her chill in her new world and sip some coffee or something. The gameplay slays but the story makes no sense and it feels like they didn't have enough time to work on the story so they added fetch quests to fill void. The world that she is in looks like Europe Noctis' kingdom is modern day Japan. They better not have her fly over there

Lightning gives TERRIBLE advice to the people she helps. Like the novice bandit in the Woodlands.. telling him he'll be a good bandit because he failed 101 times and kept trying and got Lightning to do his work for him. What kind of flop advice.
