I don't think she's hated. People that are not fans of Björk fall into 1 of 3 categories: They don't understand her and are confused OR she's not their cup of tea OR they've never heard of her.

i love her as a person but i only like a couple of her songs here and there. her albums are a lot to take in at once, and that turns a lot of people off to her.
her voice and music itself are an acquired taste, and her music focuses on being artsy and expressive rather than being catchy. she's very polarizing...
but of course, all that has to do with her music...idk why people would hate on her as a person

I think she's really catchy though Her only albums that aren't completely catchy are Medúlla and Biophilia (and the Drawing Restraint 9 soundtrack if you count that), where she does focus more on being conceptual or experimental.

Debut and Post could've been easily released by "pop girls" for the most part. Even on Biophilia, some of the amazing electronic production (with fame/sex/love lyrics instead of science lyrics) is what ARTPOP should've been. Björk isn't really THAT left-field.
