I don't know if it's just me, but I also feel like this is such a good subconscious way to build the path for children not to discriminate based on gender when they grow up and sort-of "indoctrinate" them into acknowledging that this is the norm.

A little extra tbh, but teachers can just refer to the them as "students", "class", "everyone", etc. so it's not that big of a deal. There's plenty of pronouns they can use that are more inclusive if need be.
