I mean, Jennifer Hudson is probably more famous as "that Dreamgirls actress who got an Oscar" than a singer.

Though aside from Kelly/Carrie/Daughtry, the other artist with at least 3 T40 hits is Jordin Sparks.
While the other one with multiple platinum albums is Clay Aiken.

So they should be on there.

Clay is not even a singer /in the entertainment genre anymore... I do agree that Jordin should be on there, alongside Fantasia who is already a solid artist in her genre

The talent got significantly worse as the show went on, as did the format and the whole premise of it tbh.

It was a GREAT show from 2002-2007 but when Paula left it broke the dynamic :/

But Kelly is still the only one to cross over and become a worldwide artist in her own right. Also, she was the first star of the show... I think Idol presents Carrie in a way that kinda overshadows (not by much) Kelly is because she talks more openly about the show because she is a bigger fan of the show than Kelly. This is probably because Carrie actually watched and enjoyed the show before she auditioned. Kelly didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the show in that way.
