I’m back! This weekend I watched even more TV with friends! Only minor changes were made to the rest of the list haha! Continuing on, this batch has 5 comedies, 3 dramas and 2 reality shows:
The Top 220 TV Shows: 190-181
190) "Heroes Reborn" NBC
This appeared on my list last year as one of the shows I was looking forward to in 2015 at number 5. What a disappointment. The show was slow, boring and had no focus or direction to it. The characters were rehashed, promises of appearances by former cast members were short and handled poorly. There was nothing exciting whatsoever. I have a few episodes to catch up on, and I’m not even excited to do so. I used to be the biggest Heroes fan, sticking with it to the end of its original run, but this was even worse than the terrible Season 4. And that says a lot.
189) "Sleepy Hollow" FOX
Last Year: 84
Season two was a creative mess. Pushing cast members to the side for crappy replacements that served no purpose but limit the time of characters I wanted to see more of. No one cared about the Crane family drama show the showrunners decided they wanted it to be. And then they rushed everything in the end to try to salvage the season but it was too little too late. Though the last episodes were better with all the damage control. It left fans excited that the original gang was back together. Then
they chose to let go of Orlando Jones because they’re terrible at running a show. The show is better this season but still can’t shake off the horrible second season. And the midseason finale cliffhanger was stupid as hell and only made me angrier at the show again. And bringing in Betsy Ross was possibly the dumbest creative decisions. I’m pretty sure I’m done with this show.
188) "Chopped" Food Network
Last Year: 158
This cooking competition still going strong always pulls me in when I need something to watch and nothing else is on. I don’t often seek it out, it just happens to be on when I need it too. Chefs are given mystery ingredients that they have to turn into an Appetizer, Entree and Dessert depending on the round. The last remaining chef wins 10k. I love all the crazy dishes they are able to whip up and the judging panel is stellar. I love Alex Guarnaschelli and would watch her on any TV show she shows up on.
187) "A to Z" NBC
Last Year: 162
A to Z was essentially cancelled in 2014, but ran through the rest of the episodes remaining in 2015. The show was cute, about two people in a budding new relationship and how they navigate their new combined lives, but it couldn’t come close to being How I Met Your Mother. Each episode dealt with a relationship issue and how they worked through it. It could have done more, I honestly don’t remember too much about it, but it was good while it lasted, I guess.
186) "Sirens" USA
Last Year: 174
Last year I was unsure if I would continue watching this show about paramedics and the funny things that happen in their lives both on the job and in their personal lives. I’m glad I stuck with it because it did actually get better, but it was too late. It was cancelled after the second season aired. The characters were fleshed out better, the humor was more on point and I laughed a lot more than I did in the first season. I was almost rooting for it to be renewed but it wasn’t the biggest loss. If you want a comedy where you don’t have to commit too much, this would be perfect for you.
185) "Degrassi" Teen Nick
Last Year: 129
Degrassi continued this year showing the lives of a group of high schoolers and the drama and heartbreak they go through. They also continued being over the top, funny at times and annoying as ever. This year there was a musical, far too much time spent on gangs and pregnancy issues. The seniors finally graduated with little fanfare. The focus this season was oddly more on the younger kids. Some of the characters that have been on for years and were graduating barely showed up on screen. Teen Nick decided that they no longer wanted to air the show and it was in limbo shortly, before a Canadian network and Netflix came to the shows rescue. Season 15/Season 1 of a new(ish) series begin in January! Will I continue? Possibly. I can’t quit it for some strange reason as hard as I try.
184) "Lip Sync Battle" Spike
I didn’t actively seek out watching this show, but ended up watching most of the episodes hanging out with my friends on weekend. Celebrities lip sync to famous songs and compete against another celebrity. LL Cool J hosts and Chrissy Teigen says funny things and dances in revealing dresses. I love Chrissy Teigen. I would watch her in any show, well, not FABLife haha. Someone should give her another show soon! I can’t wait to see what the celebrities featured on the show have in store for the next season!
183) "Galavant" ABC
This musical comedy aired in between the fall and spring halves of Once Upon a Time. Taking place in a medieval kingdom, a knight who tries to win back the love of his life after she marries the king of the realm. He meets various characters, some which tag along for the ride. The show was filled with Downton Abbey cast members popping up, random musical numbers and funny lines. The show was very self aware and poked fun of itself. While nothing too outstanding, it was decent enough for me to probably watch the second season.
182) "Clarence" Cartoon Network
This cartoon about a really silly, awkward and strange kid who is actually really endearing wasn’t on my radar until I found out my nephews loved the show. Clarence always looks for the good in life, even when things aren’t perfect. He has a group of friends who are just as strange yet they all work together perfect. I didn’t actively seek out too many episodes. I mostly watched episodes I stumbled upon or happened across while babysitting or killing time.
181) "Kevin From Work" ABC Family
Kevin from Work is a workplace comedy about a hardworking guy named Kevin who gets a job offer in Italy and drunkenly tells his co worker that he’s loved her forever. He then wakes up and finds out the job fell through and now has to return to the job with his co worker now knowing the truth. It would have been perfect if it made its debut maybe 5 years ago. The humor felt dated and a little forced. Awkward humor was really the driving force for laughs. The show was meant to lead off the hour it was scheduled for, the night it debuted back to back episodes, it bombed, and quickly was moved to the 8:30 slot. The ratings never took off, and I would be very surprised if the show returned again.
