She was in the top 2 best selling albums of 2011 + had a smash tour and perfume in 2012

ARTPOP is easily not on the level of her older albums. And the fact she didn't even try to push it after it started flopping shows it.
She kept pushing after Judas flopped because she believed in the project. Also after You & I wasn't huge.

Suddenly GUY flops and it's like "I'M GONNA DO JAZZ NOW" rather than support the work. She may be proud of ARTPOP but she clearly doesn't like it as much as her past work.

So I don't know why she expects her fans, the public or critics to as well.

Who was longer on top ? Beyonce ? No. Katy ? Not even 1/4 of the time Gaga was on top. Rihanna ? Nah. Miley ? not at all. Adele was acutally the only one close. with her 2 year smashing left and right.

They've been working and hyping Cheek to Cheek since before ARTPOP was released, what are you talking about ?
