Reeces, DEATH I remember that video. I died a little on the inside when Mariah dropped that plate.
Top 50 Singles:
#45. Ciara - Love, Sex, & Magic (feat. Justin Timberlake)
Ciara's
FOURTH (come on now, "High Price" and "Go Girl" were singles) second single off of "Fantasy Ride" was the only hit off of Ciara's
Fantasy Ride album, spending a week in the Top 10. Upon first listen, I was confused....I was wondering why Ciara
was singing Justin Timberlake's song hadn't released a dance track or something, but as a single, "Love, Sex, & Magic wasn't bad, it was a nice cut! It showed Ciara in a different, sexier light. Of course, that didn't help her album, but that's another story...
#44. Chrisette Michele - Epiphany
First she outsells Ciara on the album charts, and now she's higher than her on my singles charts.... "Epiphany" comes in at #44 this year, and was the lead single off of Chrisette's sophomore album,
"Epiphany". This was a nice little slow R&B song that was kinda catchy! "
So I think I'm just about over being your girlfriend/Im leaving/I'm leaving/No more wondering what you've been doing and where you've been sleeping".
#43. Rihanna - Rehab
Yes, who could forget Rihanna's final single from "Good Girl Gone Bad"? One of my favorite songs from GGGB by far, "Rehab" is one of two appearances for my singles chart.
#42. John Legend - Everybody Knows
Hands down, one of my favorite songs from John Legend's "Evolver"! This song was amazing in my opinion, and should have been huge on the R&B charts! John Legend's vocals soar effortlessly on the track, and you can connect with a song like this easily. This was one of the many great songs off of "Evolver", which happened to be my #2 album last year.
#41. Melanie Fiona - It Kills Me
Honestly, "It Kills Me" came out of NOWHERE for me! I hadn't heard the song, and besides a few posts hee on ATRL (that went ignored), I hadn't heard of Melanie Fiona. SHAME...because "It Kills Me" is TRULY a great single, and undoubtedly a great vocal performance from Melanie Fiona. She sounds better even performing it live!I am glad to see she is starting to get some buzz made off of this single, especially with that grammy nomination. I hope Ms. Fiona achieves more success in 2010!
