Not true, there's definitely been complaints. I know this, because I've complained many times, even if not always here.
But that's beside the point. I wouldn't mind the GIFs so much if they were:
1) Used in moderation, not excessively
2) Not the same damn GIFs every time, as you have pointed out. Seriously, it seems like I see the reposting of a GIF in the same thread in most of the threads that I go to nowadays!
I'm not going to advocate for total GIF annihilation, because that would be quasi-suicidal. I do think that GIF posters need to come up with new GIFs instead of the same old hat ones. Otherwise, we may need to start putting some limitations on GIF posting. At some point, it gets to be a wee bit too much.
