I am getting paid to make a cake next month it's the first time I've ever been paid so I'm a little nervous since my decorating skills are not that great but I'd love to turn this hobby into a little business type thing just to have some extra cash on my days off of work
The lady wants a Perry The Platypus cake and since I don't want to just create my own and have it look like a disaster I am modeling it after this cake

I like this thread.

I recently, like within the last 2 years, started to seriously learn to cook. I've gotten pretty good at stuff like soul food, but, I would like to learn to start baking things from scratch. I'm good with boxed mixes, but, that doesn't necessarily take any kind of skill.

I tried a new recipe yesterday, lavender cupcakes! I know lavender tea but I never thought you could use it for cooking and baking as well, so I was really curious. But they smell and taste AMAZING! And it's so cool to use something from your own garden.

Nope! They were super easy for me! I Just use a cupcake tin! it works really well!

But my friend made peach cobbler and peanut butter fudge in one day. They were amazing; especially the peanut butter fudge!

I was going to brag about what I baked, but you guys are amazing.
I made thin wine cookies and a chocolate ganache. I spread it on the cookies and made a sandwich. The alcohol didn't burn off , so it can get you drunk.
