I wonder how their second week will be. (this isn't a stab i genuinely wonder if anyone besides their fanbase knows who they are and will buy their record)
I wouldnt call them the australian one direction because they aim for a different style and they are a band not a boy band but the fans are basically the same and with all of one direction promoting this song, its no surprise it is this big
5 Seconds of Summer (Capitol) 150-160k Christina Perri (Atlantic) 40-45k Chevelle (Epic) 40-45k Dan + Shay (Warner Bros. Nashville) 27-30k Nickel Creek (Nonesuch) 17-20k The Used (Hopeless) 17-20k Manchester Orchestra (Republic) 15-18k Chiodos (Razor & Tie) 14-17k MKTO (Columbia) 10-12k Ronnie James Dio: This Is Your Life (Rhino) 13-15k Josh Thompson (Show Dog) 9-11k Lacuna Coil (Century Media) 9-11k
Until next week, and the week after that, and maybe the week after that, sure. Better prepare yourself to yet again get ready for, ready for, the perfect storm, perfect storm, cuz once Billboard's Idina's, Billboard's hers, there's no going back.
The four-song set, "She Looks So Perfect," was released on April 1 and may sell upwards of 140,000 to 160,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, April 6.
That could be enough for the Capitol Records set to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Standing in 5 Seconds of Summer's way could be the soundtrack to "Frozen." The Walt Disney Records album is in the running for a ninth week at No. 1.
Other albums heading for sizable debuts next week include Christina Perri's "Head or Heart" (40,000 to 45,000) and Chevelle's "La Gargola" (40,000 or so).
