Can you believe they practically slept sitting up each night to insure their hair stayed set? They would then style for about 30 min. in the morning. It was not uncommon to go to the store and see women shopping while having curlers or pins in their hair. Some women would just wrap a stylish scarf around their heads to hide the rollers. Now a day when you see someone wearing curlers you think “what are they doing?” When we should think good for them!

True. When you google "cans in hair" all you see are Gaga pictures or people emulating the Gaga look, people associate it with Gaga now whether some desperate people itt like it or not.
