Well considering Monsters think Gaga influenced anyone wearing rigid shoulder pads, it's no wonder they don't know the real meaning.

Ikr? Now time to bow down to the queen of pop music who sold 100 million albums and influenced almost every single pop star active right now

Using Adele means nothing.

And there's a VERY long list for Beyoncé from black to white, male to female. You're the one that said these artists sell millions. So I said Adele the biggest selling artist in the world.

I don't think anyone wants to be "exactly" like Britney like they do with Madonna, but that doesn't mean she's not influential. Her influence was more profound in inspiring female artists to strive for those "big" moments that people will remember in popular culture. The music videos, the performances - everything on a large scale. Britney kind of took what Madonna did in terms of passion and moulded it towards her own artistry.

She basically created the idea of being a performer for these girls. Ironically she won't pick up her feet today, but the impact lives on!

Since when are Lady Gaga and Lana Del Rey inspired by Britney? They can say what they want, but Britney's influence is nowhere to be seen in their careers.

Not only musically, but also on a personal level.

No. Beyoncé is. Rihanna is more successful than any of Britney-wannabes.

As it has been stated, you don't need to be a direct copycat to be influenced by someone. There's plenty of Britney in their careers, you're just thinking on that dense tip.

Video Games singer counts pop princess as one of her biggest influences
Lana Del Rey's melancholy music and gangster-chic look share little in common with Britney's pop background, but Lana says she stands beside Nirvana and Elvis Presley as one of the stars she looks up to most.
She told presenter Rick Astley on Magic radio: "When it comes to Britney, I'm not really interested in a ton of female musicians but there is something about her that compelled me, the way she sings and just the way she looks."
Lana also listed Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain as her "first love" and admitted she was initially a shy performer and didn't like singing in front of other people.
She added: "I was always singing when I was really young, like I sang with my mum. I didn't really sing for other people until I was 18 and moved to New York."

Trent Reznor wrote, “I can hear the thumping low end of Britney Spears. It’s been a treat having them here the whole time we’ve been here.”

From when she was rehearsing for The Circus Tour in the same studio as them.
EDIT: And it was a friendly statement.

Many of them are attracted to the whole sweet yet sexual thing. Britney exemplified that perfectly, in that she had an image of a promiscuous woman, yet she sang and talked like a innocent girl. Also the deterioration of celebrity and that whole concept behind the fall from grace. One example is Marina who has stated many reasons why Britney is a huge influence.
Its more of the darker side than the brighter side you know.
