The only foreseeable problem is that it turns her into a "singles artist." And by that I don't mean she can't sell albums (she can), but that it makes her wholly dependent on having hot new hit singles.
The day Rihanna struggles with her singles the way Beyonce did with 4, she's going to have a serious problem putting up sales like 4.

Rated R 3.2 million sales Been there and done that....Only 1 WW hit.

And that's all that matters, stop with the excuses, she's #1 and y'all can't do anything about it

I agree, actually.
Def Jam's style is not beneficial to Rihanna as an artist. It is too fast.
Contrary to popular opinion they do not simply rush in a new product when Rihanna might be flopping... they rush in new products even when she isnt.
We can see this when they completely halted the chart run of Cheers and Loud which were still performing on a worldwide scale.
Rihanna and her label both need to calm down.

Sweetie, averages mean nothing when you're also releasing risky urban songs I mean, let's take the self proclaimed single of the decade, BTW, and WFL performance Both are pop dance songs I mean you cant compare that to a Man Down, Rockstar 101, Hard, We Ride, Russian Roulette, etc

However, Katy's average is 3,762,000. When you leave out Thinking of You, it increases to 4,080,000

36 singles? In six years? That's crazy! She needs a break but she know that the public will forget about her. No wonder she releases material so fast, she doesn't even write her own songs, hehehe.

Featured singles count as well, just as they count as her #1’s.
- Pon De Replay
- If It's Lovin' That You Want
- SOS
- Unfaithful
- We Ride
- Break It Off (feat. Sean Paul)
- Umbrella (feat. Jay-Z)
- Shut Up And Drive
- Don't Stop The Music
- Hate That I Love You (feat. Ne-Yo)
- Take A Bow
- If I Never See Your Face Again (with Maroon 5)
- Disturbia
- Rehab
- Live Your Life (with T.I.)
- Run This Town (with Jay-Z and Kanye West)
- Wait Your Turn
- Russian Roulette
- Hard
- Rude Boy
- Rockstar 101
- Te Amo
- Love The Way You Lie (with Eminem)
- Who's That Chick? (with David Guetta)
- Only Girl (In The World)
- What's My Name? (feat. Drake)
- Raining Men (feat. Nicki Minaj)
- S&M (feat. Britney Spears)
- All Of The Lights (with Kanye West)
- California King Bed
- Man Down
- Cheers (Drink To That)
- Fly (with Nicki Minaj)
- We Found Love (feat. Calvin Harris)
- You Da One
- Take Care (with Drake)
- Talk That Talk (feat. Jay-Z) [TBR]
It's 28 without collaborations. 29 actually, since ‘Talk That Talk’ was announced as the third single this week.

When Gaga released Paparazzi and You & I, those were considered risks. They ended up doing great on the charts anyway.
The point of taking a risk is to get a reward out of it. When you take a risk and it fails, you shouldn't be commended. You should learn how to properly pick singles.

So constantly releasing music is a bad thing now? How sad.

Forget about her? Hun she's been in the business for almost 7 years, she's a household name she could take a break and have a huge comeback since radio's will always support her amazing singles.

So shady, but it's kinda true.
I'm still waiting for those massive album sales... Specially in the USA, where she got 11 #1 singles!!! Her digital power can't help her in that matter. Singles sales and albums sales don't match, in Rihanna's case.
Rihanna is overexposed. That's why I've been saying the woman needs a break.
