Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa feat. Bruno Mars - Young, Wild, and Free : I do not smoke weed or get drunk, but that's not only what it's about. It's about just having fun, being who you are, and don't do what other people tell you to do. This song is very chill, and different from most Rap I hear today.
#89:
Taylor Swift - Mean : One of my favorite Taylor Swift songs. I hope that more kids will be able to stand up for themselves and not let others torment them. The different scenarios in the video are creative.
#88:
Train - Shake Up Christmas : Of course, I chose this song because it's Christmas. It encourages people to just be happy and thankful about this time of year. It's extremely catchy and fun to sing.
#87:
Hot Chelle Rae - I Like It Like That : A huge improvement from "Tonight Tonight" in my opinion. I love concert/backstage music videos, they really show a lot about an artist/group. It's cool that they get a Rap group to try something new, and it worked!
#86:
Calvin Harris feat. Kelis - Bounce : I thought I would hate Kelis now, but I actually like her new music. Dance pop like this is so much more original than the mainstream stuff today. Calvin always makes me dance!
#85:
Lady Gaga - Marry The Night : This isn't Gaga's best. I hate the chorus, but Gaga's wonderful vocals in the bridge save the whole song. It's hard to not accept the woman, she puts a lot of hard work into everything she does.
#84:
Ke$ha - Blow : I cannot get enough of the beat ; one of the catchiest songs of 2011. I just can't stand Ke$ha's voice in any of her music. The video is really funny, with all the horseheads and the guy pulling out his bra.
#83:
P!nk - F**kin' Perfect : I cried when I first heard this song. Everything about it is just so powerful. The video is heartbreaking, but gets better at the end. P!nk's vocals are great. She is definitely maturing each album.
#82:
Skrillex - First of the Year (Equinox) : My eyes flew open in shock when I heard the breakdown, since this was the first video I've viewed of them. It's something I've never heard of, but the beats they proudce are out of this world. The video is really creepy, however.
#81:
Beyonce - Best Thing I Never Had: One of my least favorites on '4'. But I don't care, she looks her absolute best in this video. The harmony is excellent, and it's perfect for singing this to an ex that broke your heart. And her voice slays (although she oversings a bit).
This is the only episode I can do on my North Carolina trip. My family cannot pay for the internet service here, so the next episode will have to be somewhere around next week after Christmas.
LMFAO - Sexy And I Know It: I have no idea why so much people hate this song. It's super catchy Electro/Dance Pop, like many other released singles this year. And the video is obviously taken for a joke, do people not see that? Whenever this song comes on, I feel like pulling on a speedo and start wiggling!
79.
RIHANNA - Cheers (Drink To That): I always thought that Rihanna was just a self-centered and rude person, until this video showed me that she can have a lot of fun. This has to be one of my favorite concert/backstage videos. And this song is so chill. It's like I forget everything that's going on and I just go all out.
78.
THE SCRIPT - Nothing: This song is so sad. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to lose someone you loved very much. They're one of my Top 5 bands of the year. I was about to cry in the video because I thought he was going to drown.
77.
BRIANNA - Marilyn Monroe: "ERRGENT, DON'T I LOOK GOOD"? I'm sure that most of you have never heard of this song. But it has so much swagg, and I hope she gets successful! If this had a video, it would have SMASHED. My sister and I always pretend like we are strutting on the red carpet, giving the paparazzi something to talk about.
76.
KERLI - Army Of Love: I cannot think of a reason why I love this song. It's just so unusual. Kerli is so underrated, and her video's are definite works of art. Her voice is absolutely beautiful and distinct from the other voices I hear today.
75.
NEW BOYZ feat. THE CATARACS & DEV - Backseat: The video is so basic, but the gorls are looking niiiiiiccceeee and I love Dev's dress. The beats were EXPLODING in my sister's car when we first heard it. It got about 500 plays on my iTunes on the first week.
74.
LIL' WAYNE - How To Love: No Lamborghini's or Bugatti's, no strippers with no clothing on, just a real life video with a great message (use a condom and marry a good man/woman!). I'm so thankful that I'm still a teen and this has not happened to me. This is REAL music, and fortunately, he's not talking about "***** ***** *****".
73.
FOSTER THE PEOPLE - Pumped Up Kicks: It's very catchy, but I was suspicious of why it started to smash on radios. There had to be a reason why a song like this is exploding on the radios. When the message was revealed, I feel out of the chair. It's so creepy, but then again, so genious!
72.
PITBULL feat. NE-YO, AFROJACK, & NAYER - Give Me Everything: One of the biggest hits on the radio! When the breakdown comes along, I can't help but pop my booty like I mean it! Many people are so tired of Pitbull and his raps, but it gets better each time for me. MIAMI 305 REPRESENT.
71.
AVRIL LAVIGNE - Wish You Were Here: Avril's new album, Goodbye Lullaby, isn't my favorite. But this is an exception. I commend her on writing all her music, which is what many other artists do not do today. This side of her is extremely rare, but amazing. A super strong heartbreak song + Avril Lavigne = Epicness.
