I agree. I admit I love what Google has been doing. But first and foremost I am a consumer and will pick what's better for consumers any day.
The fact that people actually find all this entertaining, the way companies are attempting to block sales, trying to use FRAND patents in court cases, and do whatever possible to lock people into their single ecosystem and prevent easy switching is beyond me.
I LOVE my technology choices, but I would never assume or want everyone to only have a choice of owning my favorite products just because they are the ones I personally like more as if the only right way is my way.
The way people pick corporations of simple customer rights is astonishing.
