Can't picture Katheryn singing it. Icon would've killed it, but I'm glad she didn't take it. One Sia hit is enough. Her writing style is so repetitive.
Interesting. Production wise, I can't see Katy working it. It fits Katy's and Rihanna's range perfectly though. But I'm glad that Bey found it before them.
The production was handled by Ammo after Beyonce chose to record it. If Katy had chosen to record it then the production would have been done by somebody like Dr. Luke or Greg Wells.
" Guetta tried to invite other hit singers to replace Sia’s demo vocal, including Mary J. Blige, but it was Katy Perry who advised him to leave it as it was. Perry says: “I had just come off ‘Firework’ and didn’t want to repeat myself. I have to balance out my anthems, or else I’ll just be a motivational speaker. I was like, ‘I think you’re crazy not to just keep Sia.’ ” Guetta followed Perry’s suggestion. "

Finally a confirmation.
She still should have done it.
Can you imagine the TD era with the success of Titanium on top of that?
The song is terribly generic and corny, Beyoncé should have passed (and I'm glad Rihanna did). B's album is mature and perfect minus that song tbh. She better release Jealous instead if she wants that balladesque smash
