An album track off T-ara's 3rd? Japanese album "Gossip Girls". Lucky Wannabe is one of T-ara's few original Japanese tracks and although it's nothing special and sort of reminds me of 4Minutes 'Muzik' just a bit it still manages to bop and Boram's & Eunjung's rap near the end actually slays a bit!
B-Side to Orange Caramel's last release "My Copycat". Gangnam Streets is obviously the superior song and should of been released instead with it's Dance Dance Revolution realness serving me "Bangkok City" 2.0 just with a very cheap video . Mess at this song being a breakup empowerment anthem tho like...
Our next J-pop anthem of the year goes to Ayu's track "Lelio" which I'm still trying to figure out what exactly is a "Lelio" but besides that this song is lowkey a huge banger. At first glance I hated the song and thought it sounded like a reject from Namie Amuro's "Uncontrolled" album but after a few listens I saw the light and realized this song goes hard
The only new track off retired Queen Of K-Pop BoA's new Japanese album "Who's Back?". First Time is such a feel good anthem it's like a better version of "Tail Of Hope". The chorus is so infectious and amazing everything just explodes plus she still sounds good
"You're Busy Doing Nothing, Your Instagram Ain't Poppin"
Another one of my discoveries this year/late last year was underrated Japanese queen Crystal Kay and her urban pop slayage. 'Busy Doing Nothing' is Crystals debut single here in the states and I honestly thought It would give her some sort of buzz but saddly homegirl flopped. It deff had summer smash written all over it with it's relateable yet cheesy lyrics and it's acoustic-ish generic instrumental.
Kumi serving me that bilingual summertime club banger with the help of Sean Paul . Although a majority of Kumi's english lines are barely comprehendible she still manages to slay the song, this should of gotten a PV instead of "LOL"
"Love is whisky, I know it’s strong but I drink it anyway"
Literally should of been their long awaited comeback single instead of Sticky Sticky like what kind of injustice? The early 00's retro vibes this song gives off is everything and the vocals are so on point if they're keeping this new sexy mature concpet, it better be more along of the lines of this sonically cause the slayage >>>>
GOT7 Their never ending charting on my year end list nnnn. Off their 2nd mini album "Got love", Bad Behavior is THAT bop from start to end I mean even the deep voice saying "Bad Behavior" throughout the whole song slays me and the transition from verse and chorus is so smooth from rapping to vocal slayage like yas kings make me bust it
I still remember how much I was slayed by this song when Hyuna first performed it, I couldn't stop replaying till it was officially released! Saddly though HyunA deff gets overshadowed on this song by LE whose flow is just much more better than HyunA's talking although she did serve for filth with her visuals LE's second verse tho >>>>>. The song deff would of been higher and probably one of my favorites of the year but it lacks something, it doesn't go as hard as it could but oh well I'll bop
Rookie Duo LipSerivce making it onto my list with their debut single "Yum Yum Yum". Both members have an insane flow especially the one with the higher pitch voice, the song's a bit messy and all over the place but that's what makes me love it so muc
