Whilst a bite is not lethal it is very painful and can leave you feeling very unwell if you don’t see a doctor right away. You need to be especially cautious if you’re allergic to insect bites or stings of any kind as bites have been reported to trigger dangerous allergic reactions.

Some species of centipede can be hazardous to humans because of their bite.
