I've already given lengthy explanations as to why I think 5H are currently more successful in multiple threads so I really don't feel like doing it again, but there are two main points I want to mention again:
1) To exclude streams from total sales gives 5H a very unfair disadvantage. LM slayed in 2012 and 2013 when digital sales were at their all-time high. 5H is slaying in 2015, when digital sales have plummeted and streams are at their all-time high. If you're not going to include streams in 5H's total sales, then you need to make 5H's total sales about 25% bigger if you want to actually be fair, because that represents the sales drop between 2012/2013 and 2015. Get with the times - streaming is the present, sales are in the past, and when you exclude streaming from your calculations, it really just looks like you're desperate to cling onto outdated receipts.
2) Comparing total careers is also unfair to 5H because LM have had a considerably longer career. A much more fair comparison would be to compare 5H's single sales with LM's Top 4 single sales. Therefore, you can technically say that LM is bigger "overall" (but that's to be expected given they've had about double the releases), but 5H is definitely bigger right now.
Also, whoever said Wings and Worth It are similar sized hits must have been joking
