And I hate Grimes' music. I can make better music tbh I just feel like others do her job better.

How do people not know these songs? I mean, I never bothered to listen to "Ride" but at least I've heard of it.

I really love the other two though. Although, I do prefer "Crest" to "Drift Dive".

12. Solange - Losing You

Oh my god, its so nice to be typing these from a laptop and not my tablet again! Anyway, I got excited for this song as soon as that little snippet she released with the FUNKY beat came out, and the full song definitely delivered. Reminds me of 80s-Madonna-meets-early-2000s-Erykah-Badu. It's just a fantastic, lyrically and structurally clever pop tune that makes you want to dance out your heartache. The little filtered build-up at the halfway point is a brilliant touch, and the layered vocals at the end keep the song from being too repetitive. The whole EP was great, this sound was an excellent choice for her. And to top it off, she gave it one of the best music videos of the year! Go lil' Bey go! I still think this could be a moderate hit if it was placed in the right commercial or movie trailer.

Amazing little slice of house with genius lyrics to boot. Really great, energetic beat, slick R&B Aaliyah send up vocals from the both of them, amazing harmonies on the second chorus onwards. Really just an awesome track, especially the opening and the way that first verse comes in. Dropped middle of December but quickly earned its way onto this list! Download her EP for free!
