I think a lot of it stems from her being an R&B artist who has mainstream success.
There's been a lot of barriers broken from the greats as far as achievements, but the genre still has so far to go.
She's always made contemporary R&B, which is a fusion of different genres, so when she gains achievements it's impressive in that respect because the road is steadily being paved for new artists in that genre.
It's true. He had his genealogy studied and the firm that studied it published that he was of British descent and part Cherokee Indian. His ancestry makes his success even more impressive. He's the most successful and the most critically acclaimed Cherokee Indian singer/dancer/actor/etc. of all-time.
I don't really give a **** this way, that way, or the highway, but you'd have to be a complete idiot to not understand that a black Lady Gaga would not be as successful as the one we have. And a black Britney would be getting spins on Radio Disney.
And there's a reason Eminem is the most "global" rapper too.
Because they're the main culprits and i know that black people accomplishing certain things is extremely impressive, I get that.....but you don't have to bring up race for every single topic I mean Jesus.
Like when Beyonce tied Britney's record for having the most consecutive first #1 albums, beyonce stans tried to make her success even more impressive by saying that she's the first black female to have 4 #1 albums, and just a few weeks ago we were having a discussion about Britney and Beyonce' and OF COURSE a beyonce stan I I think it was Van De but i could be wrong) had to say that Britney's more successful because she's white.
Newsflash: It is a much bigger accomplishment for Beyoncé to have 4 consecutive #1 albums than it is for Britney. Britney's success does not all revolve around her race, but let's face it, she had an easier time getting to where she is.
If Michael Jackson could achieve all he could as a black man and is considered to be the biggest pop artist ever then how can we talk about "White Privilege" and how race is one of the reasons why Beyonce hasn't reached her full potential? I'm staying out of this though.
Because it would make NO SENSE to state that a white woman did something first genius, when did white women as a whole face any type of barrier that held that back from accomplishing the same features as other people after they were allowed to vote since that's probably all you have to fall back on.
Did they walk through the back of buildings to perform on stage?
Did they have rocks thrown at their tour bus?
Did they have to change in bathrooms because dressing rooms were for white acts?
Were they refused clothing because they didnt fit a certain look by designers.
Because they're the main culprits and i know that black people accomplishing certain things is extremely impressive, I get that.....but you don't have to bring up race for every single topic I mean Jesus.

It's not trying to make her seem "more impressive", it's taking notice of a great achievement. With all that blacks had to endure in 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s in the entertainment industry in America, I feel it's damn well okay to celebrate it. Are we really gonna do this?

Exactly Michael was one of the first black artists to be played on MTV which ONLY played white artists. He broke racial barriers in music.

But, I digress.
Lol the ignorance of them.
We should talk about the fact that only 5% of Britney's stans are NOT racist and that despite the fact that some of them are black.
Let me just clarify this once again, i'm not trying to diminish all of her achievements where race is concerned (like her being the first black person to headline Glastonbury - that's impressive) but there are limits........
