True. But you can go inside custom stores. And the custom stores **** all over the Sims 2's custom stores, and preloaded stores too.
I recently got a new laptop and was holding off on installing The Sims on it because I didn't wanna get addicted. Yesterday I finally caved and installed it.
I can't wait to start building, simming, and creating. Those have always been my favorite parts of The Sims.

Sims 2 is a little fun, but I can't handle all the missions or whatever. I play it the same as the first one. I still don't understand Sims 3
And I ALWAYS use the money cheat code. I don't live poor.

OMG I remember the cheats for PS2. You would hit R2 and L2 on the main menu and it would bring up the thing to put them in. (Midas, FreeAll, FishEye etc) Omg memories of 2004!

I remember the one for the Sims 3 PC game. I think it was like Katching or something like that. It took me THE LONGEST to realize it was ka-ching, like onomatopoeia. I always thought it was katching, like catching, but with a k.
Another one I used to use all the time was MoveObjectsOn/Off, and boolpropenabled or something like that.

OMG Doc, blonde moment
I would ***** the hell out of the money one, and most of the time I would turn aging off. I would just be getting in a good swing and they'd go and age on me.

Why all the hate on Sims 3 I find it very nice. And as a complete Sims obsessed person I was delighted that Sims 3 came out!
I have bought every expansion for every game! I would say That the sims 2 expansions are a lot better but the sims 3 game is a lot better.
Also the Sims medieval is AMAZING

When that bitch came by to take my baby, I would go to build mode and put 4 walls around her. Serves that bitch right.
I would also do the same for a burglar, in case I forgot to have an alarm.

Let's not, I was like 11.
Me too though! I never let my Sims go broke. The good bro Katching was always there for me. I remember I'd used to make my sims, put them in the Sim Bin, and then use that cheat Moneysomething+(sim's last name) to add a bunch of money to my sim so that I could instantly move them into a house costing over 20k.
Same with the PS2 games. I remember you'd press the combination and then the little gnome would appear at the edge of the property with Mood cheats, Money cheats, Unlocking cheats, etc etc.

Can we talk about how AWFUL the premade houses were? They were never big enough, especially the bathrooms were SMALL as hell. Plus the furniture was always so basic. The only good thing about those houses was the garden already being made. The rest would have to go.

I would buy the cheap house, then do all the money codes, then leave and buy the biggest plot and start building. I HATED having to work so damn much to make barely any cash. And it would take FOREVER to get enough promotions to make good money. Plus having to build up the skills. Not here for it.

The freeall cheat was good, but it only made things in BUY mode free. The trick was to use the freeall cheat, buy like 50 hot-tubs (one of the most expensive items). Save the game, restart the console, disable the cheat then go sell all the hot tubs. I had like $999999 real cash

Yeah it's a good tip I think someone on the IGN boards back in the day told me about it.
I did try not to use cheats too much though, it can make the game a bit boring. Like on The Sims 2 the cheats are crazy, You can gets all your stats & skills up with just one click It kinda makes the whole game pointless. A part of the fun is getting the skill points up (but I always used the cheat for the body skill )

Ugh the body skill was so annoying! They would work out for like the entire night and get one skill, then be totally drained in everything. When your sim has a job and/or a kid, that is ANNOYING.

omggggg nooooo. I just remembered how the game starts, in that dream scene where they have sex in the hot tub
Once I just walked around his house for about 30 minutes, every couple of minutes he was like "Come in the hot tub babe" and I would just continue ignoring him and then after a while he would be like GURL BYE and the game would shut down and you'd have to start over again

Yas girl. Sims 2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I haven't played in a long time though. I always mean to, but it takes so long to load (it tells me I have the wrong disk. After trying it at least 10 times it works.)

I use the cheat to unlock the career rewards, then buy the bookcase with the gold book on top. You can read books for all 8 skills. I used to turn aging and needs off and fast forward while my sim was reading for days. One time it went on for so long I got a final notice on the bills.
