@the wannabe art critic monsters: I'm pretty sure Katy didn't intend to go for a surrealist image and instead just wanted a "cute" cover of her naked on some clouds, and this seemed like the guy for the job. Nobody is claiming this is high art in here, it's Katy Perry, 100% unabashed pop and that works for her.
And FYI, working with "real artists" does not mean you are automatically making good art.
