but werent there dance tracks on Libra Scale? surely this album isn't just dance/pop. I feel like he's been doing this sound for a while now.

I doubt hes that concerned since he's such an in demand writer.

"Beautiful Monster" was the only dance song I remember from Libra Scale. He may not care, but I think his label surely does.

I just looked at his wiki, he's writing a lot less than in the past few years. but he did "give me everything" and "let's go" not that long ago. I don't know. maybe his career is ending.

This is why black artist should indulge in too much of that dance pop without catering to their core. Of course the itunes buyers will support that single but they most likely won't support the album.

It is cool to dibble & dabble but don't completely turn your back on your audience.

R.E.D. is basically half dance-pop and half R&B.

His music has never been as pop-influenced as it is now, honestly.

Yeah, Ciara's singles have been good from this album. Even Got Me Good is very appealing to urban buyers.

I’m kinda of disappointed on everyone’s albums this week and it’s fitting that they released their albums during Election Week. It’s funny that Nov 44 is leading and they actually have current/recurrent songs that are Now or just fading from Now status for the first time in years! Yes, we know Now series is useless with itunes play list. I guess they want to keep the tradition and say what’s Now in their minds. I don’t expect to like Aerosmith to not only the next one lead but their albums is decent and enjoyable despite initials thoughts that they just back and making music and don’t expect greatness, just accept whatever modern sound they whip out and just plain out enjoy it.

I guess there another reason why Ne-Yo delay his album. Sad to see it started lower than his 2010 album even though it’s a little better. Two years must make a different of his 2010 album sells more with Beautiful Monster not a major or moderate hit and his 2012 album selling less and Let Me Love You blow up. Fans jumped the gun being the whole album being pop/dance even though there are a few R&B hits. I guess there’s no true soul song like Tank, Kelly, Monica, Brandy etc. had. The beats more focus on than the deep cuts it seems. Lazy Love is a decent urban hit. He tried to appeal to those who just likes to club and others who like deep meaning and good old R&B in one album to some of the songs but IDK. Letting himself go a bit and start to appreciate artists like 1D as a writer perspective I think? At least it will reach 75k-90k or at best 100k. Well right now he is Senior VP of A&R for Motown. Does he have too much on his head? Well there are still good and decent in this album so it’s not all bad. This has no effect but Maybe it wasn’t a good idea to name the album R.E.D. even though I know what he meant but still you know Taylor fans plus a year ago Game.

Props to Third Day & All That Remains for not getting under 10k even though Third Day’s album is not bad. Glease? Broadway Rejects singing as Busboys in a rundown out of style local restaurant with a 50s Jukebox inside?
