This become apparent after the story of the depressed woman who wanted to be euthanised. How can we advocate these permanent decisions when the person making them are not in the right frame of mind? Sounds like enabling tbh. And we may very well see it that way in decades time.

Being a trans male or female isn't a mental illness. That's like saying being gay is a mental illness. Gender dysphoria is an effect of being a trans person, but that's what hormone treatment and sexual reassignment surgery is for, which leads to "curing" (I find that's an icky term) ones gender dysphoria. Comparing sexual reassignment surgery to being euthanised is a little far fetched, I understand where your argument is coming from, but I don't believe that's the same. "Bruce Jenner" isn't dead. She's the same person she was before. Caitlyn has never said she changed person, she's always felt like Caitlyn inside, always been her. I personally don't see how changing your genetics is on the same wave length as euthanasia. We live in a generation where we're becoming more free to enable what's becoming "normal". I'm not saying euthanasia is abnormal, but writing a death certificate is not the same as changing the name and sex on another birth certificate.
