the girl being drunk was beside the point, they shouldn't have raped her. So because someone is sloppy drunk, anyone has the right to come and rape them?

I don't really see the problem. I don't agree with her questioning what the boys got, but she was right about the girl. A 16 year old should NOT be getting drunk. There's a difference between getting drugged and choosing to get drunk. Was the girl drugged?
Nobody on ATRL should be offended by this. Especially when I see people on here making abuse jokes, stanning for serial killers, and laughing at the latest Amanda Bynes tweet. Like, goodbye.

How about the 2 guys parents teach them not to put their ***** where they don't belong?! You have absolutely NO right to commit that crime towards anyone. I don't care what you're wearing or what you drink, that doesn't make it right. It's even more disgusting that people sat around and watched, like someone should have stopped that mess. I see what you all are saying as in she shouldn't be drinking and things like that but that doesn't justify what happened and it's NOT a cause.

Right, I don't give a **** what the context was or what position the girl put herself in. Rape is wrong, PERIOD. I don't care if you flirt, if you are dancing promiscuously, if you're drunk, or you have a history of promiscuity; No is NO.

Basically any girl who drinks shouldn't be surprised when she get raped. Right?

Nope that isn't what I'm saying, but depending on who you are with, what crowd and the people who surround you.You should always be on your guard. If you're around family or close close friends and what not sure, why not...That's okay(sometimes) because they have your back.
but for instance I wouldn't not get drunk around a gang full of horny college boys in thier dorm, whom been making advances at me all night, even if were all friends. Come and sense

Wouldn't be surprised if the girl was a hoe,and even agreed to let the two boys have a threesome with her,and at the last minute changed her mind.**** like this happens all the time. It was still wrong on them though, and they deserve to do time.So don't take what I said the wrong way y'all.
Reckless ass teenagers, what can I say...
Im only 2 yrs older than her,and I KNOW better. If I drink( and usually it's just a taste) it 's when my mom is gone and in the comfort of my own home. Not only that but I can hold my liquor. (I stopped anyways because it isn't right)

So not only are you blaming her for getting raped while drunk, you're basically saying that rape is a punishment for being a "hoe"?
**** you and your disgusting misogyny. Keep being stupid enough to think that rape is something that only happens to people who "deserve" it.

So Serena's just as dumb as a large portion of America when it comes to rape. "If you get drunk, whatever happens after that is your own fault! Stop persecuting those poor innocent boys who were just doing what nature told them to." It's appalling how ingrained in our culture this "you got drunk, you deserved it" mentality is.

Their punishment was probably too harsh.

This is the ONLY thing she said that's remotely... okay.

maybe she wasn't a virgin,

Is she now implying the girl was promiscuous?

but she shouldn't have put herself in that position, unless they slipped her something, then that's different.

Unless they put something in her drink then what the boys did wasn't that bad!
The ****?

Let's not act like the majority of teenagers don't drink underage, that's such a weak argument. She chose to get drunk but didn't choose to get raped. That was the fault of the guys. With your logic rape is more justified when the victim was put in the situation involuntarily? That's every rape case.

I do NONE of that. I stan for no one and also being a victim of abuse, I find the jokes humorless, sick, and inhumane. As a rape victim, I have every right to be offended and you should be disgusted with yourself for agreeing with the sediment that just because the girl was drunk and put herself in a vulnerable situation, that she is somewhat the blame for what happened to her.

It's not depending on anything. There is no grounds that makes something such as rape ok. NONE. I was around close friends and was raped by a guy I trusted. YOU NEVER KNOW.
