& I DIDN'T find out about it from Portlandia. How ****ing ironically un-hipster does that make me? I watch Portlandia and I knew the (tongue-in-cheek) theme song they use for it and enjoyed it--UNIRONICALLY--before the show came out!

I love them. Surprisingly enough, their music does NOT translate very well into live performances.
I think I should listen to all of the songs in this thread. You never know what magical things you find in the dark.
I REALLY want to embed this song from a guy called David Alvarez (aka World Versus Me), but it's just not possible from Bandcamp apparently. Slow-paced and atmospheric yet intense and emotional, admittedly no easy listening kinda stuff:
Sis this single of Gotye has been *****d out by everyone i know on facebook. Funniest part is that most found out about it after that viral hit cover by walking off earth or sth.
I personally don't like it,probably because the video made it really hard for me to like it. BUT. BUTTTT his album Making Mirrors *****! Seriously. Give it a try. As a matter of fact,the whole album has a cohesive feel among which "Somebody that i used to know" feels rather out of place IMO.
