How is this even possible? I never heard of her before this year.
She's been on the map for 3 years now. She won Best New Artist in 2009 at the Grammys, performed on the Sarah Palin episode of SNL in 2008, and her debut album sold almost a million copies stateside.

3M copies sold in the States
6 Grammys in 1 night (incl. three main awards so she would be the first artist winning all the big FOUR ever, am I right? )
@ the only pressed people in here being rihanna fans with their "who this girl" shade, in hopes of hiding the fact their fav cannot get a #1 album.
