Lady Gaga, tbh. Like the music, but can't get into her stage persona.

I find Rihanna quite uninteresting as well. She just doesn't do much for me

Unnecessary.
Finding Rihanna's escapades forced and therefore uninteresting isn't exclusive to the Hive.

No. I, personally, am not able to connect with the celebs you call exciting on a personal level. I cannot in the least identify with them and that makes them absolutely uninteresting for me. I love Kelly. She is cool, laid back, fun and refreshing. She is normal and I would date her in an instant if I could.
And I love Leona. She might not have scandals, but she has a tremendous amount of talent and inspiring music. And she has a pretty cool blog, if you ask me.
To be honest, I don't think the others are more interesting. They just act like it. I don't think Gaga sleeps in her costumes. And I think partying every night, although it sounds fun, can be really draining. There is less glamour than we actually want there to be, so why act like there is?
I don't think that any pop star, is really interesting for that matter. The really interesting people are the artsy ones in indie music. Florence. Janelle. M.I.A. Listen to their lyrics. They have a point.

Well, anyone I have in my sig, I own all their albums, know every song by heart, will always see them on tour if I can, etc. I'm obsessed with all of them to some degree. But with some of them, there's nothing to really "stalk" them for, so I'm not sure if I'd call it stanning Stanning goes beyond just being a huge fan of their music; it's keeping up with their life, their non-musical ventures, knowing their whole life story etc.
ex. I'm completely and utterly obsessed with Fiona Apple but she literally does not leave her house except to release an album every 5+ years. Jack Johnson also goes completely missing for years between records (though I still follow all his environmental activism ). There's nothing to "do" as a Fiona/Jack stan besides endlessly listen to their music... which is what I do

Your sig is PERFECT btw I should say. Such great taste imo.
I don't see Ke$ha though, but it's alright.
Edit, on topic:
"Stanning" is so strange in a way imo (lbr), it's not something I usually do. It took an epiphany I have never had before to make me stan for Ke$ha and find my way to ATRL in the first place.
So I can't really say anything here, I can't judge.

As long as I like/love someone's music, he or she isn't boring - in my opinion.

All the Disney girls.
I'd give reasons but I'm sure I'd be warned so I keep them to myself.

Quite sad actually
An artist becomes interesting to me when they show talent and artists who try to make a point with their music and express meaning.

Some artists aren't attention grabbers and just sing because they love doing it. Maybe they're not exciting as performers in the sense of going over the top with it, but there's usually something about them that makes up for it. Whether it's their music, their voice, or whatever.
And I actually prefer "boring" artists mainly now tbh. I used to be able to get behind people like Gaga, etc but the past few years, whenever I see someone trying too hard for attention or trying too hard to do something "iconic", I find that boring tbh. To me there's nothing boring about someone who stands there and sings and has a great voice. But that's just me.
So the whole thing goes either way tbh.

I agree it would be boring if eveyr artist was this risk taking/constantly reinventing themselves type of artist. As long as the music is good it doesn't matter to me I like the diversity. Just like how Whitney played it safe I appreciate her for that, while Madonna on the other hand I praise for being a risk taker. However that's just how I see it

Beyonce. I'm just so sick of her attitude lately. And why isn't she releasing new music? So many good opportunities wasted. But I will probs end up stanning for her once I hear new material.
