"Nuclear" is the comeback-but-not-really-a-comeback-because-they-aren't-a-group single by Destiny's Child that most of the Hive refuses to claim. I immediately fell in love with it. It's so peaceful.

I was a little shocked when I first heard "Dark Horse" because, like Miley, I never pictured her collaborating with Juicy J. But the beat is so infectious! It probably would have ranked higher had they released a video.
Live For (feat. Drake) by The Weeknd
"Live For" is probably most true to The Weeknd's 'old' sound in comparison to most of Kiss Land, and that's one reason why I like it so much. I always love Drake/The Weeknd collaborations!
ATM Jam (feat. Pharrell) by Azealia Banks
I usually have a hard time ranking any Azealia song low, but "ATM Jam" is worthy. It's a cute, catchy song, and her verse is decent, but it pales in comparison to nearly all of her other 2013 releases.

When I first heard "Aura" when it leaked, I thought that it was a joke. I hated it. It was the worst song I ever heard. But I found myself going back to it, and it eventually grew on me.

IV. Sweatpants by Childish Gambino
I'm really going to hate myself in a few months for ranking this so low. "Sweatpants" was one of the first songs I heard from Because The Internet. It's very reminiscent of "Backpackers" and "Bonfire". "But really, are you eating though?" is one of my favorite lyrics of the year.
Drinking & Driving by Jhene Aiko
Let me start by saying that I've tried to get into Jhene's music. Once. I need to give it a second chance because I absolutely adore "Drinking & Driving". I listened to Saint Heron for the first time alone in my car at night, and "Drinking & Driving" was an instant favorite.
I Can't Say No To Myself by Sky Ferreira
"I Can't Say No To Myself" was one of the earliest tastes of Night Time, My Time we had. Unfortunately, it didn't make the album but was later released on the b-sides album. When I saw her live in March, it was one of my favorite performances.
She Way Out by The 1975
"She Way Out" is one of The 1975's most positive, upbeat songs. I connected with it immediately, and it quickly became one of my favorite songs on their album.
What I Like by Charli XCX
"What I Like" is easily one of Charli's best songs. I'd even venture to say it's top 3. I overplayed it in the first half of the year, which resulted in me not being able to tolerate it. It's a really good song, though, and the video is so adorable.
The Way (feat. Mac Miller) by Ariana Grande
I remember when "The Way" first came out, and I had never heard it, and everybody on ATRL was so into it. I had to give it a listen, and instantly loved it. It was the first time that I've enjoyed a Mac Miller verse. It definitely dominated my playlists over the summer.
You're Not Good Enough by Blood Orange
"You're Not Good Enough" was one of the first times that, as a stan of Dev Hynes AKA Blood Orange, I had a hard time loving the song from first listen. That changed after a few plays. Samantha Urbani perfectly compliments his vocals.
Clarity by Zedd
I discovered "Clarity" by accident at the beginning of the year while listening to the radio. I hadn't listened to radio in forever, and was shocked that a song like this was being played so much. I ended up spending the first half of my summer playing it on repeat.
Grown Woman by Beyoncé
Ah, the song that Beyoncé teased us with for months. I have such a deep love for this song, and always will. The beat and chorus stole my heart from the first listen. My only complaint is that it wasn't included on her album. It's such a solid song that captures the essence of Beyoncé.
I Will by Sky Ferreira
"I Will" was another early Night Time, My Time song. It was my absolute favorite of the new songs until the album came out. The singalong chorus is so infectious. I'm sure that I'll be enjoying this song for many years to come.
