Tricky question because she in fact did win the popular vote and he in fact did not. She won the popular vote because she resonated with smart, educated, socially aware Americans. He resonated with those who are easily scared and manipulated... aka, those who lack brain cells or integrity... or both!

In the end, I can't say what I would say if the results were the other way... but again, she won the popular vote. So has every Democrat that has run since Bill Clinton, except George Bush's second term which he only secured by carrying out the 9/11 attacks and blaming them on every Arabic person alive.

I, personally, would have a serious issue legitimizing her presidency if she had been in Trump's situation, at minimum. Granted I'm a democrat and I've never had to worry about a candidate I support losing the popular vote, sans 2004, barely, though I've always hated the electoral college. If a greater majority votes for one candidate, they should be the president, and honestly, I'd probably say this if the roles were reversed 5-6 states shouldn't decide an election.
