it's like if you're a PoC being racist towards other PoC, it doesn't make sense because you should know the struggles more than anybody else and be considerate of people in similar situations.

I'm sure people/minorities would love to be considerate and accepting of actual issues. Not something people make up to feel special.
it's literally exactly like that lgbtqa+ is a community of people who all have a history of being oppressed by heterosexual cisgender people. it's something they all have in common just like poc have in common that they have a history of being oppressed by white people.

Except people of colour did not make up their own race.
If my child comes to me talking about "xe", the next person they'll see is a therapist.

people are allowed to have their opinions! in my view if your child wants to start being referenced as 'xe' or 'it', i would deeply be worried about their mental state
It's always shame to see gay men be ignorant to the rest of their community. It's called LGBTQ+ for a reason. When I think I ATRL's definition of LGBTQ+ it's basically "Gay, and f*** everyone else, they're not real." This is a website full of Frankie Grande's. You all need to stop being so ignorant twoards your own community. This is the last place this should happen. The hate here is disgusting.
Even if you don't understand it, that's your child. As a parent, it's your job to understand your children, and to do what's best for them and what makes them happy. To the gays here, Imagine if your parents forced you to be straight? It's kinda like that. Some people don't identify themselves with either gender, and the thought of gender either irritates them, or they would simply prefer to be referred to with neutral pronouns because that matches their identity and makes them feel more comfortable. Respect their wishes, because you have no idea what they're going through.
