How much did Pink Friday sell?
PRISM may have sold well, but that's just because it's Katy Perry, not because the music was good, because let's face it, that album was mostly crap, and if you don't think so, you're delusional
|
WB barely went platinum after all the hype, and it plummeted down the charts after its release.
The album has over 700m streams on Spotify, is certified 2x plat in the US, sold over 2m worldwide, and around 20m singles/tracks worldwide. Poor your delusional soul if you call this a flop
Pink Friday sold over 2m in the US and is certified 3x plat. Around 4m sold worldwide
Your statement about PRISM is just so an album's quality is subjective, and just bc you think the album is crap it doesn't make it less successful

Plus, any new Jennifer Lopez album. Most generic EDM hit singles don't do anything for these artists albums...Anyone chasing a hit single and works working with DJs such as David Guetta, etc.
this year Anti is the most obvious one. Huge hit, flop album.

Sales-wise, they did well, but I'm talking quality. Title was basically Meghan trying to recreate AATB over and over again until you became sick. PRISM was just a bad album. I liked TD, but PRISM just wasn't a good follow-up. Name one good song other than DH on PRISM.

I just love how you're arguing with me about saying PRISM because of its quality is wrong, when people keep saying ANTI. Like, the album did really well, so they must be talking about the quality. But whatever, you can have your wrong opinion. Let me ask you the same question I just asked someone else: other than DH, name one good song on PRISM. Go ahead.
Oh, and for people saying Title wasn't a flop, name one song other than AATB or LAM that's good. And if you say LIGLY...

You're still making an argument that albums that YOU find to not be good, aren't successful, even though they have sold millions of copies worldwide. Do you comprehend how that's not a correct line of thinking?
PRISM has lots of great songs that I like: DH, LL, This Moment, It Takes Two, Birthday, Walking on Air, Spiritual, Choose Your Battles.
Just because you don't like the album, doesn't mean it's poor quality, and not successful.
OT: ARTPOP. It had a T5 song, and a T15 song, but its sales weren't great.

Um, according to Wikipedia, PRISM sold 286,000 copies its first week, and ARTPOP sold 268,000. That's pretty close of you ask me, so how can you say ARTPOP was a flop and not PRISM? They both did about the same. Someone's just pressed that PRISM wasn't great
Also, ARTPOP was not a flop. I'm so tired of people saying it was. Like, it didn't sell as well as BTW, but it still sold much better than a lot of other albums released that year. Also, ARTPOP didn't have any big hits.

Your trolling attempt is so embarrassing
Music is ALWAYS going to be subjective. Just because YOU don't like Prism it doesn't mean it's objectively bad and considering only two popgirls have sold more than Prism since its release it's far from not being a success.
Want me to name good songs from Prism other than DH? Fine. Roar, Unconditionally, Birthday, Walking On Air, This Is How We Do, Legendary Lovers, International Smile, Ghost, By The Grace Of God, Spiritual and Choose Your Battles.

So now first week = overall success?
Prism sold more than double of what Artpop sold, troll.

So I'm trolling because I think PRISM was a flop album? Honestly, it's so pathetic that people thought she would release a great album after TD, so in their minds she was going to whether she actually did or not. She could've released an album of her taking a crap and you Katy stand would say you love it. I'm a GaGa stan, but even I can admit that BTW was a pretty bad album. Maybe not sales-wise, but quality-wise. You Katy stans need to stop thinking she can do no wrong.
