No because it's mostly based on racism rather that people disagreeing with an extremistic idea.

You're talking about not being judgemental yet you say that is okay to be judgemental as long as you're talking about Saudi Arabia
If you don't even know what you are talking about then just drop it.

Right? Any race, any religion, any gender (not just male or female, transgender get huge **** on here for no real reason other than 'it's weird'), gays who are considered 'fem'.

Religion? Or liberl society that pushes back at religion, I mean I would figure it hard to really reach practical significant level of progress if the religion still derives itself on ancient and sometimes backwards way of thinking

Ignorance + cognitive mistakes + stereotype of "backward religious folks" fed by media examples (of people who are generally not so sensible and behaves the same) works its way

I said, if you aren't living in a place like Saudi Arabia, you aren't in a position to deem 'the actual world' as shoving religion down all of our throats.
I'm pretty sure religion plays some part in that.

I don't feel that ATRL is Religiophobic but I feel that some people are a bit uncomfortable with a certain religion's presence or values being shoved down our throats.

Liberal society drags conservative society along, that's how progression works. Eventually conservative society gets with it, and liberal society start progress on another issue.

That's not true. For example, the bible has been updated so many times. Almost all of the hateful, ancient ideals have been edited out. We're progressing too.

Religion mostly spreads hate and rejection, why I would respect it?

Generally, it spreads compassion and community. We're even slowly realising we can't take any action ( ) against gays, they're hardly instigating mobs to burn you at the stake

I'm Christian and I feel like anytime a religion thread is made on here, someone always has to say the absolute most offensive thing everytime and everyone else turns a blind eye. It's ironic that most of the gay people on atrl who fight against homophobia and the usage of gay stereotypes are usually the ones to throw any other group under the bus, whether it be related to religion, race or gender. The heads of religion preach ignorant ideas and they convince people that what they are saying is right. That's why you have people talking about how creationism is true because it's on the bible or how homophobia is right because God said it.
Don't act like people who are racist and homophobic are crazy WBC fans who go to rallies, they are regular people that might seem nice but they are not.
Dead at you defending them knowing that they are the main reason behind the homeless queer community. I'll say it again, religion has caused nothing but trouble since the start, you shouldn't be mad at why there is hatred against religion because you know that hatred didn't start because people read a book and said "I guess it's time to hate on religion"

Yeah, that's why most of Catholics make a lot of campaigns against gay marriage.

It slays me how gays can defend religion knowing that "conversion" camps are still a thing, how blind can you be?

Because the gays here are self-centered and can't see outside of their own bubble

I grew up in a religious family, it was hard at times because rules were so strict but I got more love out of it then Anything & I know many religious older folks to, that aren't judgmental and are very kind good ppl.
Being very very religious doesn't make you a bad person & being aethist doesn't make you a bad person either what makes someone a bad person is when they want to look down on others for their beliefs or what they find comfort in (praying, God, etc) that's just gross no matter how you spin it. respect one and other, it's simple. Like a another member mentioned a lot of ppl say things online they wouldn't say irl

You know religion is flawed, you know they still preach hate but I guess you don't mind giving a blind eye this time because it's your religion.

It's a belief, immaterial, and therefore its tenets and impact in the world can be criticized.
I mean, the belief won't show up at your workplace and shoot you to death or throw you away from your house if you're gay, right?
