Rap is more interesting and diverse than ever before.
Soulja Boy used the internet to turn himself into a household name. Ever since that, everyone feels more confident to share all their **** online, regardless of how much it fits within the mold of popular rap.
Pinata, SGV3, Cilvia Demo, PTSD, Dark Comedy, CLPPNG, ASIG, Lord Steppington, BHP, etc.
Oxy dissapointed me personally but I know a lot of people liked that one too.
go get your lives
These were good but I gotta check out the other ones you posted
I'm assuming you're referring to Nicki & Drake. Why would we defend Soulja Boy because we stan for those two like they're even in the same lane?
And Wayne did not have an impact on hip-hop's downfall. If you actually know what you're talking about, you would know that hip-hop started to "decline" when Wayne was putting out his best work.
i was replying to a post who mentioned how YMCMB artist are played on radio over and over, keep on assuming stuff then and you cant know much about Wayne because his decline started around 2008-ish when he went all rockstar on us

Lil wayne is gonna go down as one of the most successful artists in rap and he starting having less impact in 2010 with his "rockstar" phase as j stated ... Hip hop started declining in 2005-2006 so get your dates straight

Exactly. The comments about "hip-hop being ruined" started around 2005-2007. When Wayne was putting out good music like TC1 & TC2.

i wasnt trying to imply that young money 'ruined' rap or that wayne ruined rap, becase i dont think rap is ruined at all, i think its in a good place right now- i was jsut saying that YM really does dominate the radios and that people who only hear that stuff dont know the vast majority of amazing music out there.
