Indeed. And since the "The Fame" was generic and radio go-to sound , it would appear that she's renouncing her artist view to, once again, raise her popularity and ensure her place in the current music business.

I'd definitely lose some respect. I mean her message was massive and to just go back and make sth like The Fame would be hypocritical and contradictory. Unless she can incorporate the themes she had with BTW with the new album. Maybe then it'll work pretty nicely. Depends though. We don't have that much information to make a judgement now.

Just because BTW wasn't the best album of all time doesn't mean it wasn't progression. How is talking about the same subject matter with the same musical style progression? The album's lyrics were far superior to The Fame. Production wise, the album was too. Don't get me wrong, The Fame >>>>> but if Gaga released the same album, none of you would appreciate the albums.

I'd love is she went back in some way. It doesn't mean she's regressing, she can take what she did in the fame era and evolve it. That's who I really think she is. I feel like with BTW she wanted to experiment with different sounds and looks while TF/TFM is closer to what she really wants to do. I miss that futuristic dance pop queen she was. Back when she wore origami dresses and shaped her hair into different things

Ideally, the next album would be a proper concept album. THAT would definitely constitute as artistic progression.

What fan site did you read this throwback to the 70s for Gaga's next album? Aren't you getting her confused with someone else? Who said she wanted to infuse pop-rock to 70s music? And isn't it a little strange to say she's redoing a past era when you haven't heard it yet? I mean, at first I thought it was headed that way, but we don't know. Whatever her choices are, the results won't stop you, me, and the rest of the world from paying attention + cash.
