The thing is, it's not like his album and ST are neck & neck when it comes to critical acclaim
The entire music industry has been buzzing about ST the second it dropped, the endless praise and rave reviews are no secret, so it makes sense that he feels ST deserves the award over ITLH. Whether it be because of his stanning or the common sense to open almost any review and see the stark difference between the two albums, his comment makes perfect sense.
Too cute. The impact this woman has over people is just remarkable. No one today comes close, sorry. Who else is praised and admired like Beyoncé is today. No one.
Yeah, sure. I can totally see Sam give AOTY award to Bey who already has 15 or so Grammys. *sarcasm* The look the (hopefully not any more longer) Grammy-less Katy would give them.

But imagine if Sam actually won and during his speech Bey would come on stage like "Hand it over to me, boy. You promised it." Most iconic of this millenium is coming!
