Actually, TCSBS outgrossed DWT when adjusted for inflation by over $3M. TCSBS had one more show (97), but DWT was only grossing $1.5M on average so even if they had the same number of shows, TCSBS would have still outgrossed DWT

I don't see how she would've influenced Britney yet (feel free to share), but I wouldn't mind if she did. I'd take Britney's "Partition" any day over the dance tracks on Britney Jean.

It had 4 more dates and with inflation the Circus tour ended up grossing more. Also let's not forget that this was Britney's first tour in 5 years, if Rihanna went off the radar for that long I doubt she would have a sucessful comeback and tour.

When we use TEAs for Rihanna's career, she's only sold 45M albums WW. Britney passed that with pure album sales with her first two albums

Rihanna's media status and overall sales revenue will never match Britney's, ever. her record sales are about the same according to most estimates anyway; Rihanna's sold 180m and Britney anywhere from 175m to 200m, 100m or so of which comes from albums sales (as compared to 28m - 30m).

Not the song, the performance style. We saw Destiny's Child go from "No, No, No" to "Survivor," Mariah Carey go from "One Sweet Day" to "Heartbreaker," Christina Aguilera go from "Reflection" to "Genie In a Bottle," etc. Are you familiar with the climate of pop music before Britney Spears stepped on the scene? It was very, very R&B-centric/Hot AC-focused.
