I agree. Stosur can play some amazing tennis but she has started off the year quite horrible and I don't see her regaining form for the Australian Open.

I do agree that Stosur should never have won the US open, but it's a reflection of the state the game is in. There's no true champions anymore. Most of the GS champions in recent years have struggled to cope with the pressure of winning the titles. Li and Kvitova both fell apart after their victories, although Kvitova recovered during the indoor season.

I don't think it was a case of Kvitova falling apart after her victory. She just sucks on outdoor hardcourts. She's definitely got a true champions mentality. Never lets the pressure get to her and always plays her best at the most important moments.

And don't shade Serena with the "there's no true champions" comment.
