Not really. Tom Warren (the head Microsoft Stan there) traveled from his country to NYC for the Surface launch and bought like 3 of them. A lot of the editor's primary phones are Android devices + the highest rated phone is actually the Galaxy Nexus but its .1 above the iPhone (which is higher than the S3).

They are a techie blog. It's in their job description to go to events like those of the Surface launch.
And as per the Androids phone having the top scores, I'm happy for SIII
I'll wait for the official figures of the S3 vs the I5 because I'm sure those aren't released, although I can already easily predict those based on how sales of Samsung are going. Samsung just keeps getting more and more acclaim so fast.
Even when Nokia is flopping big time, they're still #3

Hun, there's been official numbers for quite some time. The S3 just hit 30 million + Samsung reported they hit 10 million a little less than 2 months after launch. Apple released a press release saying they sold 5 million in the first 3 days. What else do you really need? And this is the S3 vs. the iPhone 5. Not Samsung's tons (litterally tons) of Windows Phone + Android devices vs. the iPhone 5 + 4S.

It's not in their job description considering Apple sites don't even attend launches. They compile pics that readers take of lines.
Anyways, take a look at Tom Warren's twitter page and tell me if he's an Apple stan like you say: http://mobile.twitter.com/tomwarren he's even a writer on WinRumors

So you're saying that Samsung has sold 6 times the amount of S3's compared to the Iphone 5, although I understand because of the different release dates and the S3 being available a while ago. It doesn't say much when you realize that apple's sales are always extremely frontloaded by the legions of sheeps that would buy anything Apple released, so I'm not exactly sure of what you're debating. As someone who didn't know the sales, consider me unimpressed.
The only thing "better" I found about it is that it's lighter, although I prefer my phones to have a bit of weight to emphasize that I'm really holding a premium phone. The iPhone is light and delicate and needs a case, so that makes it heavier than the Lumia 920.

5 million in a WEEKEND. It's still on BACKORDER + sold out at stores still. Can you read?
The Verge is far from bias Dieter, Chris & Vlad are some of the most open minded prominent figures of the tech blogging world.
And Since Samsung has like 500 phones to Apple's 3 they BETTER be outselling them.
Anyway, I went to the store the other day to compare the S3/iPhone 5/Nokie 920 and I got the iPhone.
Android somehow is still ugly & clunky. WP8 is cute and I could see myself switching over but they need better apps, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

WP8 has 46 of the top 50 apps. You just made the wrong decision. Return your iPhone back for the Lumia 920.

Just like Nokia, or HTC, or Sony, basically everyone expect Apple.
But still, Samsung is the only one, with a lot of phones (but don't forget that their best selling phones NOW are the Galaxy S2 and S3, the Notes are doing good too...) who can compete and even outsell Apple.

True. Apple only has iPhone as their phone, but the real question is.. how many versions of it is in available? And how often do they change versions, and how short it takes for them to add another row of icons?

nnn
HTC is garbage. Samsung worked their way to the top through mass marketing and of course putting out quality products on all available carriers and making sure they have public recognition. HTC made like a new phone every month, didn't update any of them, became a slave to American carriers and now are getting paid DUST.

Apple has 3. Samsung has 12. And you get a new iPhone once a year.

I'm pretty sure Samsung has more than 12 selling around the world.
