The country awards shows (CMAs and ACMs) have alternated between Sundays and Wednesdays through the years. IDK when their ratings and viewer number do better, though.

Grammys to Air Live Nationwide for First Time

For the first time ever, this year's Grammy awards ceremony will be aired live in the Pacific and Mountain time zones.

That means stations that choose to participate in the live broadcast will air the 58th annual award show from 5 to 8:30 p.m. PST and 6p.m.-9:30 p.m. MST). Last year's Grammy awards received 24.8 million viewers.

They need to change the eligibility period, that's why their ratings are flopping. NOBODY is her for 9-month old albums winning awards and 6-month old songs being performed for the 100th time.

No. We dont need all award darlings releasing their albums 2 wks b4 the ceremony. Hollywood has to resort to contrived campaigns during award season cus the public never get a chance to see majority of the films nominated prior.
