She's in this for the fame, not for the music. At least when she 1st came out she was very honest about this. And her fame is fading away. No superbowl performance, crazy attire... will revive that career.

No one asked you to buy it. Gaga asked you to listen to it. You're not. That's your choice.
It's music. Listen to it and then you can decide if you like it or not. You don't however listen to a few opinions and decide you're already not interested. That's not what normal people do who visit record stores, check out an album and then buy it.

One things for sure, well you use this idea of flopping to validate your hate she'll continue to make music that she love's whether she has 50 fans or 50 million. There's no delusion in that.
Sounds like she's trying to cut damage on her imminent flop but she also sounds honest. She's probably somewhere in the middle but it's clear she wouldn't mind, and she secretly wants, great success. She's used her certifications multiple times to justify her career choices. Now, those certifications lie in the past so she's changed her speech to meet present expectations.
