This band has definitely taken us all by surprise. They have this experimental vibe that pushes the boundaries of both indie and pop music. For the longest time I thought they were gonna re-release their album with this song as the lead single, sadly it was just a soundtrack for a videogame.
Tom Odell "Another Love"
One of the few new artists that I liked this year, this song is very deep, although it's pretty much the typical british-solo-male ballad. I listened to his album and I didn't find it as interesting as I thought it would be.
Taylor Swift "Sweeter Than Fiction"
The first of many entries by Miss Swift in this countdown. I expected more from this song to be honest, but then what can you expect from a soundtrack? Let's just say it's the typical Taylor song, nothing less, nothing more.
John Newman "Losing Sleep"
Now this guy is definitely bringing something new to the table, at first I thought his voice sounded annoying but I just couldn't resist. He has this soul background which sounds fresh and interesting, I really hope this becomes his second worldwide hit.
Beyoncé "Grown Woman"
Homegirl is back, stronger than ever. No wonder she's all over ATRL at the moment. What she did was unexpected but totally worth it. I'm nowhere near from being a Beyoncé fan but I respect her and always appreciate what she does. This song is god-so-catchy.
The Maine "Love & Drugs"
Back in 2010-2011 I was obsessed with finding new bands like this to add to my personal playlists. Now I think I'm pretty much over that stage but I still appreciate some of their songs from time to time. This one gives me energy and the video is very original.
Ellie Goulding "Burn"
Oh Ellie has fallen hard from grace. Not only did she become what she originally wasn't supposed to be but she's also lost her originiality for a couple of quick hits. I guess it all depends on which producer she's currently dating. Oh well, ignoring my disappointment, I still (kind of) like this song.
Luke Bryan "Crash My Party"
2013 was also a very boring year in country music. I didn't even bother making a special top 20 this year. Luke was one of the few country artists that caught my attention this year. This song sounds like something you'd listen to while driving on a sunday morning.
Paramore "Anklebiters"
Paramore made their anticipated comeback this year. "Now" was more like a "Later". That song was overall so annoying I really thought they were gonna bomb with this album. Eventually I had the chance to listen to it in full and songs like this one won me back.
Hanson "Get The Girl Back"
It's really been almost two decades since the Hanson brothers were on top. I admire them for still trying and bringing something fresh with each album. This song might not be Grammy-worthy but it's really simple and catchy. The Jonas Brothers could nevah!
Capital Cities "Kangaroo Court"
These guys scream one hit wonder like the sky is blue. I still think their sound is very interesting and they have a lot to offer. This video might seem crazy but it carries a very deep message to those of you who bother to interpret it, the song is not too bad either.
Olly Murs "Dear Darlin'"
Olly is slowly starting to become a one-trick pony and I don't really like it that way. It's a very nice trick but it was only cool for the first few times. This song is his typical 3rd single ballad, very beautiful but I doubt I'll remember it three years from now.
Michael Bublé "Close Your Eyes"
It's always a pleasure to listen to Michael Bublé. His songs rarely stand out on their own, it's the album experience what comes with a charm. This song is really beautiful and it has a very beautiful video. Sadly it was ignored by pretty much anyone.
The Cab "Angel With A Shotgun"
If this song had gotten a video it would probably be way higher. The Cab is extremely underrated. I listened to their album in full for the first time this year and I found it amazing. This song is one of the highlights and I strongly recommend it if you guys don't know it.
Owl City "Metropolis"
I can't even begin to describe what happened to this guy. I used to be a huge fan, I knew every single one of his songs. Now I barely care about him anymore. Okay I know I'm being biased cause he got together with the devil last year but just listen to this song, it's a giant let down.
Thanks for your comments.

Nooo, ''Another Love'' should be much higher. :-( But then again, I think I should be satisfied that it's at least on someones list since I don't think a lot of people here appreciate it as much as I do.
''Grown Woman'' and ''Dear Darlin'' are my other two favorites off this list.
As far as albums is concerned, I'm glad to see Kelly's ''Wrapped In Red'' there.
