It's funny you say she can't emote when her national anthem was way more passionate than Gaga's which was a bunch of over-the-top pronunciations and hand movements. She sounded perfect. But it was not in the slightest emotionally charged.

It was more emotive than Ether Merman though.

Bey was technically very good but her voice just doesn't have the richness for the National Anthem. Gaga had more oomph, and although I don't love her faux operatic tone, she gave the more classic rendition.

Bey's was a lot more impressive considering it was sung in a much higher key with runs, vibrato and and power. Gaga's was low and very generic.

Both are excellent singers.
Gaga has that amazing piano skill.
Beyoncé is a far better dancer.
Gaga does more varying styles.
Beyoncé can tear up a stage like no other.

Bey easily. You can tell Gaga wanted to smash it but she tried to hard and her vocals sounded throaty. She had some shining moments though. Also she needs to burn that stiff Donald Trump hair she was sporting

So, I just watched them both again.

I really like the beginning of Lady Gaga's performance but then she tried to hit those notes but I felt like she was screaming at me (I'm not saying it was bad it just gave me this sensation ). Also, I don't like her last note.

I liked Bey's performance but I didn't enjoy her tone (she was very young her tone changed since). I really liked her last note though.

However, I felt like Gaga's was more powerful so I'm gonna say Gaga.

Beyoncé hands down. Effortlessly slaying all through her registers with no strain. With the right amount of nuances, range and power. Plus she hit that note (Free) flawlessly with her head voice

Gaga rendition came off as a try hard mess. She's very 1 dimensional. The audacity of the monsters trying to compare Whitney's legendary rendition. Gaga couldn't even hit the note, she Dodgeville with quickness.
