But Gaga is huge, did you see how many are there for her in Europe and Asia? I'm sure all of those people bought her album (coming off a huge era) once it came out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't labels have access to this kind of information? Sure, they have a reason to inflate sales + count shipments as sales, but I don't believe a label's word automatically equals false. From the way Billboard has been acting lately with their new Hot 100 rules, they are more easily manipulated than the labels themselves.

I remember reading somewhere last week that she has sold 50M songs in the US, so she sold like 25M songs WW, has she ever had a song in the list of the top 10 best selling digital songs WW? I think her label is getting too excited.

At the people saying her website isn't a good source, the label controls that, how the heck isn't it a source?

The label knows the most, they control everything, they check the sales of singles easily on iTunes and Amazon, which no one else has access to other than them.
